Come and learn more about how to look after your mental health and how to access local support services. An interactive display will be available in Central Library, College Green, Bristol, BS1 5TL all week.
Do you know about the new reading aloud for wellbeing project, Bristol Shares Reading? These sessions are free to attend, so why not come along to relax, enjoy being read to and join in the conversations about the reading material? All reading material is provided, as are the biscuits and refreshments. A taster session will take place at Central Library between 10.30am and 2pm.
Young people can take advantage of books from the Shelf Help Scheme, which offers them help to cope better with the pressures of life. These books have been chosen by young people and health experts and are available at all Bristol libraries. Find out more about the books available.
Midwives are invited to an evening where they can learn more about supporting parents at risk of or suffering with poor perinatal mental health. A panel of speakers will discuss their personal and/or professional experiences. They will also offer practical tips about how best to support parents in your care and referral routes for specialist support in Bristol. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions too. The Midwife Meetup also gives you the opportunity to network with midwives from different teams, units and NHS trusts in Bristol. Snacks and refreshments will also be provided.
